Assalamualaikum W.H.B. First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Muhammad Syafiq bin Razak. I'm creating this blog because as you'll can see the title of this blog is about my final year project for my diploma that i take at UNIKL BMI. So i and my teammate Muhammad Zaheerudin bin Zabidi will give an update for our FYP progression at least once a week for all 13 week given. So this entry covered the process for within this two weeks because we've started our class on 16/1/2012. Our title that we've choose for our FYP is wind speed meter. Why we decide to choose this project?. For me this project is the medium that i can use to applied all my knowledge that i have learned during my study. It's also a little bit challenging because this project need us to program a microcontroller and we never study about this thing before but it doesn't mean that this project can't be proceed anyway. So for week 1 what we've done is we try to understand what is this project all about and how we can start to develop this project. Our reference is based on magazine EPE 03-01 start from page 40-47. According to the magazine what we can generally understand about this project is about creating a device that can measured the speed of wind using the ultrasonic circuit. The special about this project is there is no moving part in this device because it using a transducer instead of using a propeller fan for detecting a wind. So maybe this device will produce an accurate reading compare to the other method. After we totally understand about this project we proceed our work in finding all the components needed in this project in week 2. We also still in process on doing a simulation in order to understand the output from this device. So that's all that we're doing in this first two week.
